Background

I'm a transactional attorney and business and real estate advisor. I've spent 20+ years helping clients grow their businesses and develop projects that produce strong financial results. I spent five-plus years in-house at the nation's largest retail REIT, working on complex redevelopments. Those redevelopments included large-format health clubs, multi-family, luxury big-box tenants, national discount brands, and restaurants — in many cases with extensive construction or build-outs involved.

I help my clients proactively and strategically grow and protect their businesses and real estate. I work with my clients to understand their business, tax, and compliance goals, then help them craft a plan to achieve them.

An owner's perspective, not just a lawyer's

I'm a business and real estate owner myself, so I understand the pressures my clients face. I've assembled, managed, added value to, and sold a portfolio of apartments, and delivered the returns lenders and investors expected. I understand the real-life dynamics of dealing with customers, lenders, investors, and vendors — because I've lived them.

Outside of work, I love traveling and spending time with my wife and kids. I also love home improvement projects and always seem to have a major renovation under construction or in the planning stages. I'm active at my church as well.
